There are many reasons you may need a pet sitter or dog walker. Once you make the decision to look for someone, there are many people out there who do this type of work and it can get confusing. You can get alot of information from our website but you may still have questions. That’s ok. We are here to help!
You can either choose a host based on what you know about them or you can contact us and we will help you choose. We need to gather some information to help you get a good fit for your needs. We need information about the types of pets you have, the number, their ages and requirements. We also need to know if you want walks, check ins, overnight stays or just daytime help. Budget can also be a consideration. Whatever your questions, we will help guide you through the process.
We gather information and contact the pet sitter who will, in turn, contact you. We insist on a meet and greet for all parties involved. This is for your protection and peace of mind, as well as the safety of our staff and comfort of your pets. This can be done in your home or a neutral spot, but if you are choosing your pet's to go to a hosts home, you will need to meet there. The host may ask you the same questions we have already covered. Please don’t be alarmed. We do share information but sometimes they need to double check or confirm something we have told them. Also, they may notice behaviors or things you say that require clarification.
Once you and your pet sitter agree to terms (dates/price/etc.) we will email you a written agreement and invoice. All services must be paid in advance of services provided. In the unlikely event of any extenuating circumstances/expenses (run out of food, your trip home is delayed, etc.), your pet sitter will notify you for instructions.
While caring for your pet, we will post pictures to our FaceBook and Instagram pages. Your pet sitter will send you pictures and updates via calls, texts, messenger, etc. Just let them know how you want to be contacted. Also let them know if you do not want or need that level of contact and we will minimize it for you.
We require current (veterinarian) vaccinations for:
Titer results with acceptable antibody levels will be considered in lieu of vaccinations. Dogs should be in good health, free from fleas, ticks and matts; and should be given a routine heartworm preventative. Adult dogs should be spayed or neutered but we will consider un-altered pets on a case-by-case basis and are accepted at the sole discretion of the pet sitter handling them.
If you are ever in doubt as to whether we can accommodate your pet(s), please feel free to contact us and we can discuss your circumstances further.
Rates are custom built depending on your unique situation and needs. They vary by host, combination of services required, number of pets, frequency of service requests, etc. Below is a general idea of starting points but is in no way a complete or final list:
We want your pets to happy, healthy and safe while in our care and we want you to be satisfied and not worried about them while you are away. We employ the very best people and we personally know the people who work for us. Every person we contract is background checked, bonded and insured. Most are Pet CPR certified and we offer classes for certification throughout the year. If your pet becomes ill or there is any problem with a pet sitter (family emergency, illness, etc.) we will find another pet sitter/host or will step in however necessary to minimize the stress of change on your pet. We will NEVER leave you in a bind.
