It’s always been about dogs in our house. We always had a dog, from when I was a small kid, and today is no different. Back in 2013, me and my late husband, Stanley, started our own pet care business. We had been fostering dogs for some time, and enjoyed doing it, so we knew we could probably handle multiple dogs in the home.
As time went by, we realized that even our daughter Bella was a natural with the dogs. We had two rescue dogs of our own: Ms Maggie & Lilli Wonderful, and we often had a foster dog. From there we started to build our list of clients, with their dogs. Bella and Bone Pet Service was born.
Sadly, in 2015, Stanley, my husband passed away. Right there and then our lives changed. How would I take care of my then 13 year old daughter, Bella? How would we survive? There were so many questions which needed immediate attention. The answer was there, right in front of our faces…the dogs!
With thanks to our amazingly loyal clients and their pets, we continued to grow our client base. They helped spread the word about our family-run service. I always, and will continue to do so, say that we have the best clients and pets in the DFW area.
As time went by and all was going well with Bella & Bone-Pet Service, we started seeing a pattern of bad reviews of some of the major players in the pet care world. I was shocked at how people would treat the pets, they were entrusted to care for so badly. Dogs were even going missing…who knows what else! I couldn’t stand by and let people think that all small business pet care providers were like that too.
Fast forward to 2018: myself and my soon-to- be business partner Christine Umanzor were talking about all the bad press around the pet care community. We decided that we needed to do something about it. We would start our own company that we would be proud to put our names to. So, we merged our two company names, and came up with Wag Time-Pet Services.
We wanted to offer nothing but the best for our clients and their pets. We wanted them to be able to customize a service just for them and, most importantly, their pets. The top of our list of priorities, was their peace of mind.
Therefore, with our carefully-chosen team members we provide a support system for them to grow their list of clients, just as we had both done. To us, it’s of the utmost importance for us to know that the people we were sending out to care for our client’s pets are the best in their game, offering excellent, and safe, pet care. Our wish is that when you become part of our family of clients, you and your pets will always enjoy the experience.
To this day, we are doing exactly what we set out to do, and, our business is growing. Who knows, we may even convince some of you to join our team of excellent pet care providers.
We are currently overloaded with great clients so we may not be able to honor your request if you haven't used us in the past. If you were referred to a specific Pet Sitter or do not need services in the immediate future, please feel free to proceed and we will get back with you as quickly as we can. If not, we apologize for any inconvenience and wish you the best of luck in finding great care for your BFFs! As we hire new Pet Sitters, our availability will change, so feel free to check back in the future.
