It’s always been about dogs in my house as well. As a child, my family had dogs before I was even born and we have always had pets. To this day, my parents have four lap-babies, my sister has four, I have four - and I have built my life around providing animal care.
While working in the Corporate world, I adopted a dog who needed socialization and someone to watch her while I worked long hours. Someone said, “try doggy daycare”… This was some 17 years ago and dog daycare was new. But I tried it and I was hooked! Lots of research and three years later, I quit my job and bought an existing dog daycare in Arlington, Texas. Wag Time Doggie Daycare has been in the same location for 16+ years and we have an impeccable reputation. Because we are a small family-owned business, we do things our way. We have carved out our niche by working with dogs as individuals and building relationships (and many personal friendships) with customers.
In fact, several of our customers have had dogs pass away and they return to us with a new BFF when they are ready. Also, we have many customers who have moved away but they keep in touch and/or visit when they are in town. I also have been very lucky with hiring wonderful people who love dogs as much as I do! My staff and our great team are definitely what keep people coming back. This small, close-knit vibe has served us well as we continue to grow and prosper.
Speaking of growth… Our daycare is full every day and we do not have a lot of room for boarding anymore. I met Jacqui through a dog rescue group we both volunteered for and clicked immediately. We both knew we felt the same way about the animals entrusted to us and that the client being happy and satisfied would only boost a business as opposed to what bad press can do. We set out to build a business our way – the RIGHT way - and to prove that small business owners have what it takes to succeed.
Wag Time-Pet Services was launched in 2018 and we couldn’t be happier with our choices. We chose to grow slowly and steadily, with a focus on finding the best pet sitters we could. As Jacqui stated, “The top of our list of priorities, was (customer) peace of mind” and we are good at what we do. Because our reputations are so important to us, we take great pride in our business and in every person we hire. We take great care to be sure the customer is happy and the pets in our care are healthy, happy and safe while with us.
Our wish is that when you become part of our family of clients, you and your pets will always enjoy the experience.
We are currently overloaded with great clients so we may not be able to honor your request if you haven't used us in the past. If you were referred to a specific Pet Sitter or do not need services in the immediate future, please feel free to proceed and we will get back with you as quickly as we can. If not, we apologize for any inconvenience and wish you the best of luck in finding great care for your BFFs! As we hire new Pet Sitters, our availability will change, so feel free to check back in the future.
